Diáne Mandle is a Polarity practitioner and a Life Coach who integrated Himalayan/Tibetan Bowl Sound Healing into her private practice, and in 2004, became California’s first State Certified Tibetan Bowl Practitioner/Instructor. Her work includes educational workshops, trainings and concerts around the country. She is presently associated with the San Diego Cancer Center as one of its Complementary Therapy Team members, and she offers regular sessions to their patients. To date, she has produced three acclaimed CDs, Return to Om, Sarasvati’s Dream, and Being Well: The Journey, as well as two books, Ancient Sounds for a New Age: Introduction to Himalayan Sacred Sound Instruments and How to Clear Space with Sound Using Tibetan Bowls & Tingshas. She owns an operates the Tibetan Bowl Sound Healing School in Encinitas where she trains people to become sound healing practitioners.

David Gibson is the Founder and Director of Globe Institute. Returning for the second year, Jonathan Goldman is a writer, musician and teacher. He is an authority on sound healing and a pioneer in the field of harmonics. Jonathan is the author of Healing Sounds: The Power of Harmonics (Inner Traditions), Shifting Frequencies (Light Technology) The Lost Chord (Spirit Music) and Tantra of Sound (Hampton Road), co-authored with his wife Andi. He has studied with masters of sound from both the scientific and spiritual traditions, including the Dalai Lama’s Chanting Gyuto and Gyume Monks and has been empowered by the Chant Master of the Drepung Loseling Monastery to teach Tibetan Overtone Chanting. Tonight’s call with Sacred Sound Artist, Akshara Weave, offered us a lot of insightful information on the Divine Proportion of Phi and how working with sacred geometry and non-traditional form in music can produce profound and transformative shifts within the mind, body, and spirit.

Akshara talked about the early days when he first experienced the non-existence of separation between the music and the audience while performing a gig with a rock band. During this performance, he sensed something had changed, but he didn’t know what it was. He said he was initially freaked out, but, in that moment, he was aware enough to know that something bigger had just happened.

It was the failed attempts of trying to convey this experience with his band member that led Akshara to seek out a deeper understanding of how sound affects the body. And through a beautiful synchronicity, he found himself living in Colorado, where he eventually befriended Jonathan Goldman which led to the production of The Lost Chord.

Akshara has a passion for music that’s not equal tempered, or traditional in nature. He stated music that doesn’t follow a specific formula taps into places of our being that we may not usually have access to. He told us that after he received his Reiki attunements, he was guided to create compositions that were authentic sonic representations of the Reiki symbols. For the math lover, he also offered us an in-depth analysis about the relationship between music and how it’s composed.

He said that music is an inherent gift of our species, and it resonates with the heart. Akshara said that it moves us to deeper states of consciousness, and it’s also a way we communicate with one another.

He shared with us that his music creates a coherent field of integrity within sound to help and attune the listener to whatever experience they need to have at that time.
