Mark Romero - Sound Vibration Healer | Coach

There wasn’t a more fitting way to end this amazing week then with one of MasterWorks Healing’s beloved contributors, Mark Romero!

Tonight, we heard the wonderful story of how Mark came into the whole sound healing arena. We learned that while playing at a wellness center, he was approached by an audience member who told him that she could hear “the tones in his music. Of course, Mark thought that she was going to get a little “weird” on him, but she was quite emphatic when she explained to him how his music affected her. She then bought one of his CDs and told him she would hook him up with a scientist at NASA. About a month later, he received a call and was invited to a lecture about energy and its effect on the body.

Steven began his sound healing career as a musician who suddenly started playing meditation music on his piano. While playing, he noticed that people were reporting wonderful experiences his music had on them. His interest was further piqued when he read an article on the ancient use of music for healing.

This week wouldn’t be Sound Vibration Week without the presence of Jonathan Goldman! He’s known around many circles as the grandmaster of sound healing, and his soothing energy and incredible knowledge of this rapidly growing field were what made this call what it was.

Amethyst talked about how working with sound breaks up areas that are dense or stuck. That using sound clears that space and attunes it to a certain vibrational frequency with intention. When we do this, we’re sound smudging the space. A smudge is when we use a sacred plant or tool to clear a space. The intention is to shift dense energies or unclarity and bring that energy to a clear energetic space.

Another incredible call, and we’re learning SO much more about sound!

Right off the bat, John talked about his views on dissonance or “bad” sound, and his analogy was spot on. He sees “bad” sound as being that dandelion in one’s yard. Some may see it as a weed, while another will see it as a healing herb. A child doesn’t run from dandelions… she plucks them out of the ground, and lets their color reflect off her chin. This is how we must use “bad” sound… we need to create a dance and use it as our music.

What a wonderful way to start off this amazing week, and we learned so much about sound and how it affects us… the good and the “ugly”.

We learned that sound is direct; it goes right to the part of us that needs healing. For example, if we hear laughter, then we know that is a sound of harmony. If we hear crying, then we know that is a sound of imbalance.
